The district of Bareilly stretches from 28 degrees 10 minutes to 28 degree 54 minutes North latitudes and 78 degrees 58 minutes to 79 degrees 47 minutes East longitudes. Total population count as per 2011 census is 4,448,359.
Bareilly is specially known for zardozi, a popular form of embroidery. Handicrafts, bamboo artwork and wooden furniture are also of importance in the district’s economy.
